Develop, coordinate, and facilitate the execution of complex structured natural gas transactions, with an emphasis on new products, customers and/or regions.

Activities include:

·    Work closely with front-line origination staff and potential customers to understand customer needs and develop transactions/product structures to meet those needs;
·    Develop presentation materials highlighting transaction benefits and present alternative transaction/product structures to customers;
·    Coordinate, review and assist in drafting transaction documents that accurately reflect deal structures and negotiate documents with customer;
·    Structure transaction economic and valuation models; manage and provide direction to analysts on how to build models to price and analyze structured transactions and review them for completeness and accuracy;
·    Develop risk mitigation solutions and ensure risks are appropriately reflected in pricing;
·    Coordinate with Trading, Analytics, Legal, Credit, Accounting and Risk Management groups to ensure transactions are analyzed correctly and approved on a timely basis;
·    Prepare presentations to support management approval of proposed transactions and obtain transaction approvals on a timely basis.
The successful candidate can look forward to a role of increasing responsibility, and progression within the Gas Origination group.



At least five years of transaction development experience with at least three of those years in the energy industry preferred. Project management skills and experience with natural gas markets a strong plus.

Bachelor's in Finance, Engineering, Economics or a similar field. Gexa Energy has an open position for a Contract Administration Manager . This position is located in Houston, TX, and will report to the Director - Billing and Market Operations. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an energy contract administrator who can work well in a team environment with high energy sales personnel and who is a high caliber experienced individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

Position Summary:

Gexa Energy is seeking an experienced retail energy Contract Administration Manager (electricity and natural gas) to lead a group of analyst in the following areas.

Responsibilities include:

·     Managing all contract generation/processing activities, including:
a)    Review, analysis and verification of contract terms, approvals and inputs
b)    Preparing contracts for execution
c)    Uploading contracts into contracts management system
d)    Updating and maintaining contract templates
e)    Preparing draft contract templates for sales personnel and attorneys
f)     Tracking contract template changes - "versioning"
g)    Redlining and processing contract negotiations
h)    Maintaining contractual files
i)     Researching existing contractual files
j)     Responding to inquiries from Sales group and customers

·     Prioritizing work load for the department through constant communication with the Sales group
·     Interacting with various departments to accomplish the smooth and timely execution of retail energy contracts
·     Monitoring and reporting on KPIs and various metrics and ensuring goals/targets are achieved
·     Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for all markets
·     Assisting with implementations and/or enhancements to contracts management system and related applications, including:
a)    development of functional requirements
b)    user acceptance testing
c)    training.






Typcially requires a Bachelors of Science Degree with 5 years of experience with 2 years leadership experience or MBA preferred with equivalent experience. 
Minimum of 5 years experience in either a retail energy environment or an energy trading environment preferred
Exposure to contract process in either a retail energy environment or an energy trading environment
Experience in deregulated electricity environment (including Maine, Massachusetts, Illinois, Connecticut, Texas, or other) and familiarity with rules, procedures, and market structure for retail competition preferred.
The ability to work independently within established parameters
Extreme attention to detail
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office suite, and the ability to work within multiple systems
Excellent customer service attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and exceptional professionalism
Ability to quickly gain an understanding of the organization's business goals and ability to develop methods to achieve those goals
Demonstrated ability to be flexible and to work in a fast paced environment
A high level of initiative along with the ability to show sound judgment in dealing with sensitive and confidential legal and contractual matters
