Title: Field Operations HV Technician II

This position operates & maintains transmission lines, substation facilities, and overhead/underground collection systems associated with Wind/Thermal/Hydro & Solar sites throughout NextEra's Territory.
Responsibilities:

Attend regular safety meetings and follow appropriate company safe work practices and policies.
* Perform or support routine maintenance & operational testing on common T&S systems and equipment.
* Provide support for trouble-shooting of unplanned outages, and outage restoration.
* Support Event Root-cause analysis utilizing Quality Tools.
* Support the analysis of protective relay events including relay interrogation.
* Support the review of commissioning records & operational checks at new sites.
* Ensure Transmission & Substation assets are operated & maintained in compliance with all local, state, federal and environmental regulations.
* Operate, maintain, and manage HV utility truck and tool inventory.
* High School diploma or GED required.
* Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders without assistance, and work at heights greater than 100 feet from the ground surface.
* 1 to 2 years, Substation, Protection & Control, Transmission or Collection system experience required.
* Must attain Substation Switching qualification within 1 year of assignment.
* CDL Preferred.
* Good written and oral communications skills.
