Position Specific Description Come join our team! We are seeking a Manager of Customer Care Operations who has a passion for the Retail Energy Market. This position will report to the Director of Customer Care in Houston, Texas and will require some travel to manage Care Center vendors in West Texas, and occasionally in the Northern States.

Job Overview Employees in this role manage and lead teams responsible for daily Customer Service Call Center operations and project management. This position ensures that departmental goals are achieved which directly contribute to the overall success of FPL. Individuals are responsible for short-term operational and business planning strategies, decision-making, performance management (to include talent selection), employee motivation and recognition, and promoting a total safety culture.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conducts operational and business planning for assigned functional area
  • Manages department performance, audits payroll, and develops action plans for key initiatives
  • Creates, implements, and manages employee motivation and recognition activities
  • Manages work schedules, manages diversity awareness, and mentors team
  • Participates on project teams for care center and new system implementation
  • Participates on cross-functional teams - quality, safety, calibration sessions, corporate initiatives, operational efficiency, and DSM programs
  • Drives a culture of safety
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED

  • Experience: 8+ years
  • Supervisor/Management Experience: 5+ years Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
