Position Specific Description This position sits within the Power Generation Division which is responsible for all of NextEra Energy's non-nuclear generation operations, exceeding 40,000 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity. The plant is located in Yarmouth, Maine, and Cape Station on Portland Harbor in South Portland, Maine. Combined, the units total 250 megawatts. We truly have the best team in the business. In addition to the duties listed below this individual will also need to have working knowledge of a distributed control system (DCS), preferably Emerson Ovation and ABB Conductor is highly
preferred. Control system troubleshooting skills are essential. In addition, familiarity with digital valve positioners & transmitters, thermocouple & RTD devices is strongly preferred. Basic knowledge in pneumatic controls systems is also required.
Skills Highly Desired:
-Troubleshoot utilizing Sama logic or rung logic
-Experience developing/engineering new logic
-Experience troubleshooting DCS hardware
-Experience assigning new I/O for additional analog or digital I/O
-Low voltage schematic troubleshooting
-Network configuration and troubleshooting
-Under general guidance position directs a team of maintenance specialists, technicians, engineers, and contractors
involved in scheduled overhauls and plant maintenance.
Job Overview Employees in this senior-level role direct a team of production and maintenance technicians and contractors in plant maintenance activities. Individuals in this position lead internal and external resources to Deliver Certainty, executing plant maintenance to achieve short and long term site goals and objectives in safety, environmental, compliance, reliability, availability and cost management.
